| We are a family farm operation situated near the beautiful Birdtail Valley of Manitoba. Our dad started farming in this area in 1948 and married mom in 1954.They continued to farm until their sons were old enough to carry on. Dad passed away in November, 2002 and mom passed away September 10, 2010. They live on in us. Dave & Marnee and family, Amy and Devin,Tyler and Holly, Mel & Shelley and Justin, Nikki & Gary and Leah VandeHeuvel, Wayne & Charlene and Dylan, Ryna, and Mya work together raising over 400 breeding females on approximately 8,000 acres of crop (wheat, oats, barley, canola and peas), pasture and hayland.
Our herd consists of 480 registered Simmental fullbloods, red and black purebreds and a small group of commercial females. We have worked hard on our program...it is always ongoing. We strive to raise cattle that will work in the Purebred and Commercial man's pastures. With all the difficulties in the cattle industry we can still get very excited about the Simmentals we raise. Red, black, Fleckvieh - such diversity keeps our breed ahead of others in our eyes.
